About the Balanced Man Scholarship

The Balanced Man Scholarship is Sigma Phi Epsilon's signature award. The scholarship serves to recognize outstanding members of the community that live by the cardinal principles and values that Sigma Phi Epsilon seeks to uphold on college campuses around the country. Among these values is the Sound Mind in the Sound Body, which is one of the main tenants of the Balanced Man Program.

The Scholarship Evaluation process begins with an application that is available on our website. After you apply, we will contact you on the first week of the year with a schedule of Balanced Man Scholarship Events that you can attend to get to know the brothers better. We will take attendance of these events into consideration in the scholar evaluation process. After these events, we will conduct a 15 minute formal interview, typically in November, followed by the Balanced Man Scholarship Awards Ceremony, which typically takes place the week before Thanksgiving.
