Aakash Doshi is a junior from Dallas, Texas and just became the Chaplain earlier this semester. He is majoring in Biology and English/Creative Writing. In addition to his role as Chaplain, Aakash is a member of Alpha Phi Omega (service fraternity), the treasurer of the Emory Cycling and Triathlon team, a dancer on Emory Saraas, a research assistant at Winship Cancer Institute, and a volunteer coordinator at the Emory Autism Center. In his free time he enjoys reading, writing, and running.
The chaplain is bestowed with the care and guard of the Fraternity’s Ritual. He also leads the judicial branch of the chapter. In doing so, he is responsible for holding all members accountable to the principles of Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love, as well as the other standards of membership. Additionally, the chaplain plays a key role in recognizing and reinforcing the positive behaviors and actions of his brothers.
